Finite element Modeling

Brief outline :  Computer Aided engineering as the third dimension of engineering . Applications of FEA in various industries .  This is a  basic course  for  diploma and engg. Students  desiring to make a  carrier  in  CAE  .  The  FE Concept  and types of engineering analysis  followed  by  the theoretical  foundations of  Structural Mechanics  are  then followed by practical  FE Modeling using HYPERMESH  .

Eligibility :  Enginnering /Diploma in Mechanical , Automobile , Production ,Civil ,Chemical and other branches or  experienced candidates.

Contents    Finite element analysis Basics , What we need as an input  to  FEA .Types of  elements.1-D elements , 2-D  shell meshing algorithms , Mesh Quality parameters  : Defination  and  industry standard values  .  Checklist for  Finite element modeling  .  3-D
Hexahedral and tetra  meshing algorithms  . Brief  introduction to  CFD  meshing . Boundary layer and other  concepts. Practical Finite element Modeling   with HYPERMESH   involving  the  above  topics.  Project  Work  .

Duration : Regular  Batch  and Weekend Batch  3 months .
