Advanced Structural Crashworthiness for Automotive Industry


Brief Outline :
  This course  is an advanced course in structural crashworthiness especially for  Automobile industry .

Eligibility : Post Graduate  Enginnering students  of  Mechanical , Production ,Automobile engg  branches or  experienced candidates.
Prerequisite :  Introduction to Structural crashworthiness course .
Contents :  Importance  of crash analysis in automobile and  other  industries .  Safety  standards  in various countries  .  Safety  criteria  such as  Head  Injury  and  Chest Severity  Index  and others  .  Meshing guidelines for  crash , understanding the  minimum element length criteria , Finite Element  modeling  of  full  vehicle   and  special  elements such as  seat belts , retractors  , rigid and deformable  switching  , cross section forces and  Tutorials and pratical  project  work on seating  systems and  full vehicle impact  simuloations .

Duration : Regular  Batch  3 months , Weekend  Batch : 3 months
